Impact begins with connection
We see barbers as more than just a stylist. They play a crucial role in the lives of their clients. They are a trusted friend, a confidant, and often an unintentional therapist. They have the unique opportunity to use their position to move their clients toward clinical care while connecting deeply, and creating a safe space to share their thoughts, struggles, and triumphs.
After going through the training, this program turns barbers into Mental Health First Aid advocates for our community.
The training empowers barbers to:
- Understand Common Mental Health Disorders
- Gain insights into issues such as depression and anxiety
- Effective Communication Techniques
- Crisis Management Strategies
Impactful Outcomes
Our Mental Health First Aid-trained barbers are reducing the stigma surrounding men and their need for therapy and normalizing self-care and their role as community pillars.
